The needs for training internal company customers through an interactive system that reduces costs and allows a higher knowledge retention rate can be met by Aura Interactiva, which produces software that provides all the information students require.
According to the commercial vice-president, Rafael Cordero Sibaja, the company specializes in virtual training (eLearning) that provides information on marketing, production processes, advertising, promotion, internal information systems, and customer service, as well as selling strategies.
He also asserted that, occasionally, setting up the software is very fast. First, Aura Interactiva experts visit customer facilities to analyze company requirements; course contents in the technological tool include exercises, multimedia processes, photos, images, and a variety of texts and details about the training length.
Through procedure automation, the training process will be faster, and students will learn electronically.
The company is entirely funded with Costa Rican capital. It started operations in 1996, but at that time it was targeted mainly at the multimedia area; however, as of 1998 it started this new training system and has grown to include partners from Central America, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador.
Moreover, we have a branch in Mexico, with a total of 90 employees and 15 more to be hired in the next few months.
Focused on SMEs
Cordero said that due to the significant investment that has to be made by a company to have these technological tools, the idea is that different institutions should look for information democratization as it was implemented by the National Commission from El Salvador that has focused on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), so they were able to reduce SME training costs.
On this occasion, companies were trained on how to start a business and the basic concepts on marketing, results, and advertising.
Moreover, actions are being taken to start a project between Aura and the National Food Science and Technology Center (CITA), which will train all companies that want to export or become suppliers for large companies; the training will cover food safety.
The program includes a series of online courses on Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety, which will be available to all entrepreneurs from sectors such as agriculture, agribusiness, distribution, restaurants, health, and others.
