The Costa Rican Association of Physicians and Surgeons will offer up to date knowledge on an ongoing basis to members and other physicians in the region through a technology-aided training and updating service. The signing of the alliance will take place this afternoon at the association headquarters.
The strategic alliance with the eLearning developer (electronic-based learning), Aura Interactiva, seeks to reach all physicians in the country based on the knowledge they need and because of the fact that they do not have to move, thus improving the health sector.
“Our participants will achieve savings by being trained at the workplace or at home and will have access to courses on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year. Moreover, we will timely meet their training needs and provide short-run solutions,” pointed out José Federico Rojas Montero, Board chairman of the Costa Rican Association of Physicians and Surgeons.
Therefore, a presential training will not be necessary anymore because it can become virtual training; moreover, the training contents can be constantly updated according to new medical advances.
“The Association is interested in promoting a real and tangible projection to its members by training and updating all physicians in a shorter time and covering all the geographical areas where its members are located, mainly remote areas where there is just one physician and he/she cannot be expected to move. The best way to achieve this goal is through an alliance with Aura Interactiva,” added Rojas.
Through an online campus, the Association will provide these training services on the Internet. Therefore, there will be a better use of the knowledge that has been collected, developed, or adapted by its Scientific Committee.
“Thanks to e-Learning, we are going to train physicians anywhere in the country, including the most remote areas where training is most needed. At the same time, the Association will have the most effective, massively scalable, and affordable tool possible.
We foresee a significant and transcendental transformation in the way physicians across the country keep abreast on medical advances. The vision of the Association when implementing the technology-based strategy is worth mentioning because it is at the same level or higher than initiatives in developed countries,” indicated Randolf Kissling, CEO, Aura Interactiva .
